Reicher wandte seine große Kunst auf das in einem etwas altväterlichen Ton geschriebene Werk. Der Inhalt der Dichtung ist der Aufstand Korahs gegen den Träger des Gesetzes, Moses. Das Drama ist aus Empfindungen hervorgegangen, die uns unzählige Male in anderer Form begegnet sind. Auch die Behandlungsart bietet nichts gerade Neues. Man hat es zwar mit einem Dichter zu tun, aber doch mit einem solchen, der manches nicht miterlebt hat, was die letzten Jahre gebracht haben. Er gehört der älteren Generation an und teilt deren Gefühle und Empfindungen. Er weiß auch seinen Personen kein volles Leben einzuhauchen. Dennoch waren für mich die Stunden dieser Vorlesung genußreich. Ich mußte Reichers große Kunst bewundern, mit den Mitteln des bloßen Rezitators ein vieraktiges Drama in solcher Vollendung vor uns hinzustellen.
